About

Personal Practice

Jonty Tacon came to photography after 15 years as a graphic designer. His experience in using and commissioning photography to communicate ideas has helped the development of his photographic practice, which is mainly concerned with the relationship between people and place. His work explores how we utilise and find meaning in places and conversely how this relationship shapes us and our identities. Alongside his individual work Jonty frequently collaborates with Laurie Griffiths, showing work in various galleries and exhibitions, including the Taylor Wessing portrait exhibition, The Brighton Photo Fringe, The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition and most recently at the Lithuanian Photography Association gallery in Vilnius.
